FairTalk did not begin as a company. It began as a quiet, recurring frustration.
Over the years, I found some conflicts never came to a resolution. The conflict was either pushed to the side as an unresolved point of contention, or it would rear its head again and again with no resolution for the people involved. At times, I was left at a loss for how to move forward. I thought of how beneficial it would be to have a calm, neutral perspective, someone to help both sides actually understand each other.
I kept thinking that if there had been a tool to help both people feel heard and find a way forward, the outcomes might be different.
So I started researching. I looked into the psychology of how conflict is actually resolved, and into the rapid advances in artificial intelligence, and I realised the two could be brought together. What if the calm, impartial presence that helps people through conflict could be available to anyone, any time, anywhere, for the everyday disputes that never make it to a mediator's or counsellor's office?
That idea grew into FairTalk. What started small, as one person's belief that things could be better, became a tool built to help people navigate the tricky, emotional moments every relationship meets, and to come out the other side with a clearer path forward and stronger connections.
